  • The Greatness Mindset – A book which help to unlock the power of your mind and live your best life

“You become what you think about most of the time”.

As the year comes to a close, I find it meaningful to reflect some of the books that have shaped my thoughts and inspire my growth over the past months. One of them is The Greatness Mindset: Unlock the Power of Your Mind and Live Your Best Life Today by Lewis Howes. This book invites us to embark on a transformative journey of self discovery and growth. The book resonates deeply with its actionable advice and inspiring exercises, helping readers unlock their potential by reshaping their inner dialogue and identity.

The journey started with finding your identity. Brian Tracy has said “You become what you think about most of the time”. Actually, our inner thoughts shape our identity, and Lewis again emphasizes this idea by introducing the exercise of writing a letter from you future self. This practice has the power to bridge the gap between who we are today and who we aspire to be.

First, imagine your future self. Picture yourself a few years into the future, having made significant progress in your journey of healing and growing. Visualize the positive feelings and accomplishments you’ve achieved.

Then, write a letter to your present self. Thank yourself for doing the daily actions that helped build a stronger identity. Mention how proud you are of your younger self for doing the hard work of healing. Thank your present self for showing up every day and celebrate the obstacles you’ve overcome and the destructive behaviors you’ve conquered. Encourage yourself to stay the course and mentor yourself by highlighting the consistent behaviors needed for continued growth.

When we have people in our lives who inspire us, we have more joy and can make a more significant impact

It is quite true that you are the only person who can give yourself what you want. However, when we have people in our lives who inspire us, both personal and virtual, I genuinely believe we have more joy and can make a more significant impact.

In the book, Lewis also emphasizes the value of drawing inspiration from those around us – both personally and virtually. By identifying the qualities we admire in others, we can gain clarity on the characteristics we wish to cultivate in ourselves.

Write a list of people who inspire you. Write one or two sentences next to each name about why they inspire you. Listing actual characteristics you want to develop for yourself. Visualize who you want to become, what qualities and characteristics do you have, how do those qualities and characteristics help you in meaningful mindness. What do you think about your future self? Are you doubtful or confident? Are you fearful or fearless? Think about the people you listed. How do you imagine they feel about themselves? Do they pursue their goals even when they don’t feel confident? How do they tackle problems or obstacles? How do they motivate themselves?

Now you have identified the qualities and characteristics you want to build, take some time to meditate on them. The quiet moments of meditation can help to center our thoughts and begin healthy thought patterns. I also believe that a lot of magic can happen in the quiet.

Lewis Howes’ “The Greatness Mindset” is more than a book, it’s a guide to practicing mindfulness and unlocking your inner greatness. The exercises from writing to visualisation and meditation are practical tools that can help anyone striving for personal growth. By adopting these practices, I’ve found a renewed sense of purpose and a clearer vision of my future self. If you’re ready to take control of your mindset and live your better life, I highly recommend diving into this book. As Lewis reminds us, you are the only person who can give yourself what you want. So, what’s stopping you?

  • “Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.”

Tell me about your favourite book!!!

When Fiona asked me to name my favorite book, ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho immediately came to mind. Santiago’s journey is filled with lessons about pursuing one’s Personal Legend, or destiny. The themes of personal transformation, the importance of recognizing and following omens, and the idea that the journey itself is as significant as the destination resonate with me, encouraging me to reflect on my own lives and aspirations.

Nothing is better than going to bed early and reading a favourite book before sleeping. It is good self-care with lots of benefits, it helps to build a positive habit and heal your mental disorder. I’m still on my journey to my personal legend and every single word in this book is becoming my strong prayers everyday!

Me – in my favourite corner – with my favorite book

“I’m like everyone else I see the world in terms of what I would like to see happen, not what actually does”.

“The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world, and never to forget to drop oil on the spoon”.

“When you want something with all your heart, that’s when you are closest to the Soul of the World”.

“Everything on earth is being continuously transformed, because the earth is alive and it has a soul. We are part of the soul, so we rarely recognize that it is working for us. But in the crystal shop you probably realized that even the glasses were collaborating in your success”.

“I watched the caravan as it crossed the desert. The caravan and the desert speak the same language, and it’s for that reason that the desert allows the crossing. It’s going to test the caravan’s every step to see if it’s in time, and, if it is, we will make it to the oasis. If either of us had joined this caravan based only on personal courage, but without understanding that language, this journey would have been much more difficult”.

“If you can always concentrate on the present, you’ll be a happy man. You’ll see that there is life in the desert, that there are stars in the heavens, and that tribesmen fight because they are part of the human race. Life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we’re living right now”.

“The closer he got to the realization of his dream, the more difficult things became. It seemed as if what the old king had called “beginner’s luck” were no longer functioning. In his pursuit of the dream, he was being constantly subjected to tests of his persistence and courage. So he could not be hasty, nor impatient. If he pushed forward impulsively, he would fail to see the signs and omens left by God along his path”.

“Don’t be impatient. Eat when it’s time to eat. And move along when it’s time to move along”.

“When people consult me, it’s not that I’m reading the future. The future belongs to God, and it is only he who reveals it, under extraordinary circumstances. How do I guess the future? Based in the omens of the present. The secret is here in the present. If you pay attention to the present, what comes later will also be better. Forget about the future, and live each day according to the teachings, confident that God loves his children. Each day, in itself, brings with it an eternity”.

“Courage is the quality most essential to understanding the Language of the World”.

“You must love the desert, but never trust it completely. Because the desert tests all men, it challenges every step, and kills those who become distracted”.

“Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure. You’ve got to find the treasure, so that everything you have learned along the way can make sense”.

“There is only one way to learn. It’s through action. Everything you need to know you have learned throughout your journey. You need to learn only one thing more”.

“On the way toward realizing his own personal legend, he had learned all he needed to know, and had experienced everything he might have dreamed of”.

  • The benefit of living in harmony with nature

The benefit of living in harmony with nature

My breathtaking experience at the top of Fansipan, Sapa, Vietnam

Being with nature helps people to reduce stress, improves creativity and more focus. With a background of marketing and communications, I thrive in dynamic environments and digital life. Balancing between nature and technology makes my mind more clear and open. By this way, it improves creativity and more focus. It also supports healthy lives and promote well-being in the community.

There are lots of benefits to your mental health

Many researches showed benefits of nature to mental health. Actually, being with nature helps people to reduce stress. Because it helps to reduce anxiety while our bodies release less cortisol and more natural endorphins, which promotes happy thoughts and good feelings.

Furthermore, being in the fresh air and less noise pollution makes our minds are more clear and open. It improves creativity and more focus. Besides, being with nature makes us more calm and balanced. The muscles are not tensed when relaxed. It helps to reduce blood pressure and normalize heart rate.

Professor David Strayer, University of Utah, have been conducting a amazing research about brain-based measures of cognitive restoration. In his talk, David shared that spending time in nature allows the brain to rest and restore. Average of American spends more than 10 hours a day in front of digital screen and less than 30 minutes a day outside. Only about 2% of population are really good at multitasking, the rest of us are not. It is the way that brain works. More than that, multitasking wastes 25% of the workday, increases stress levels, links to neurotransmitter dopamine (a reward center in your brain) and behavioral addiction, and causes human errors.

That being said, it is crucial for us to balance technology with time spent in nature and allow our brains to be rested and restored.
